論「說色界繫至唯一謂法」，述無色界空處近分意近行也。此有二說：一許別緣下、二不許別緣。若許別緣，通有四捨意近行也；若不別緣，唯一雜法捨近行也。

[On the Śāstra's statement:] 'Those bound to the form realm having been explained [up to] only one, namely of mental phenomena', this sets forth the mental investigations in the threshold of the base of infinite space in the formless realm. Here there are two theories: first, allowing separate objects from the lower realm; second, not allowing separate objects. If separate objects are allowed, it encompasses four mental investigations of equanimity; if separate objects are not allowed, there is only one investigation of equanimity of mixed mental phenomena.
