10.21
論「又說無明至異慧能染」，此第二也。貪能染心，貪既非心，故知無明染慧非即慧也。
The treatise says: "Furthermore, it is said that ignorance ... being distinct from discernment, can taint it." This is the second point. Attachment can taint the mind; since attachment is not the mind, we know that ignorance tainting discernment is not itself discernment.
