On the passage in the treatise from "It refers to what the sūtra says" to "this is called correct nature": this answers [what] correct nature [is]. This cessation without remainder is precisely nirvāṇa with remainder and without remainder; it is this nirvāṇa that is called correct nature. The Nyāyānusāra states: "Why is cessation alone called correct nature? Because this permanently exhausts wrong and false phenomena. Furthermore, its essence is wholesome and permanent, definitely loved by the wise; therefore, the World-Honoured One also spoke of the noble path as correct nature, for the sūtra speaks of entering into the correct nature of non-arising (samyaktvaniyāma)."
