10.253

論「諸已獲得至何非正定」，問也。若以定得涅槃名正定者，得順解脫分善定得涅槃，何不從此名為正定，唯取聖人？

On the passage in the treatise from "Those who have already obtained" to "why are they not correctly determined?": this asks a question. If one is called correctly determined because of definitely attaining nirvāṇa, then one who has attained the wholesome [roots] conducive to liberation (mokṣabhāgīya) will definitely attain nirvāṇa; why is one not called correctly determined from that point on, taking only noble persons?
