論「一縷合中至唯得縷故」，論主答。現見於行之內一蟻合曾不得行，亦現見一縷合中曾不得衣唯得縷故，故知離縷之外無別衣體，即合眾縷以為衣也。

The treatise says: "In a single thread … only the thread is apprehended." The Master of the Treatise answers: It is seen that within a line, one ant alone has never been apprehended as a line; it is also seen that in a single thread, cloth has never been apprehended, but only the thread is apprehended. Therefore we know that apart from the threads there is no separate entity of cloth; it is simply the combination of many threads that constitutes cloth.
