12.24

論「若時地獄至地獄已壞」，已下釋趣壞也。就趣壞中，先釋地獄；二釋畜、鬼；三釋人趣；四釋天趣。此釋地獄。應生不生，名為壞劫。有情都盡，名已壞也。

On the Śāstra's words, "When the hells [...] the hells have already been destroyed": From here below, the destruction of the destinies is explained. Within the destruction of the destinies, first explaining the hells; second, explaining animals and ghosts; third, explaining the human destiny; fourth, explaining the heavenly destiny. This explains the hells. When those who ought to be reborn are not reborn, it is called the eon of destruction. When sentient beings are completely exhausted, it is called already destroyed.
