論「若爾大種至力所起故」，反難成立。若見所斷心能發業者，其所發業可見所斷。能造大種亦由見所斷心力所引起，應說大種是見所斷。大種既非見斷，故知見所斷不能發業。

The treatise says: "If so, the great elements ... up to ... because they are initiated by its power." This establishes [the point] by counter-challenging: If the mind abandoned through seeing could launch action, then the action launched by it would be abandoned through seeing. The primary elements that create it are also induced by the power of the mind abandoned through seeing, so the primary elements would also have to be said to be abandoned through seeing. Since the primary elements are not abandoned through seeing, one knows that what is abandoned through seeing cannot launch action.
