13.29

論「豈不世間至皆不待因」，正量救也。前以比量破我，然此比量不及現量。現見薪等由待火合為因，非是法滅皆不待因。

Treatise: "Is it not seen in the world […] none depends on a cause?" This is the Sammitīya's defense. Previously you refuted me with inference, but this inference does not equal direct perception. It is directly perceived that firewood and the like [perish] due to awaiting conjunction with fire as a cause; it is not that the cessation of dharmas never depends on a cause.
