論「或有欲令至合成五種」，述異說也。此師分不定業為二，謂於異熟有定、不定，合為五業。於異熟定、不定者，一此業雖定，三時受不定，故名不定業，然隨於一時定受異熟。二此業非唯三時不定，受異熟果亦不定也。

On the Śāstra's statement: "Or some would maintain [...] combining to form five kinds": This recounts a differing explanation. This master divides indeterminate action into two, namely determinate and indeterminate with respect to ripening, combining them into five actions. As for determinate and indeterminate with respect to ripening: first, although this action is determinate [in ripening], its being experienced in the three times is indeterminate, hence it is called indeterminate action, yet it determinately experiences ripening in one of the times; second, this action is not only indeterminate with respect to the three times, but its experiencing of the fruition of ripening is also indeterminate.
