論「謂依諂生至諂曲類故」，別釋曲也。《正理》云「實曲是見。故契經言：實曲者何？謂諸惡見，諂是彼類，故得曲名。從此所生身、語、意業，曲為因故，果受因名，是故世尊說彼為曲。」
The Śāstra says: "That which is produced based on deceit […] because it belongs to the category of deceitful crookedness"—this explains 'crooked' specifically. The *Nyāyānusāra* says: "What is truly crooked is view. Thus the sūtra says: 'What is truly crooked? It refers to evil views.' Deceit belongs to that category, and therefore receives the name 'crooked'. The physical, vocal, and mental karma produced from this has crookedness as its cause; because the fruit receives the name of the cause, the World-Honoured One called them 'crooked'."
