18.20

論「唯破異生至說愚夫言」，明所破僧也。《正理》云「唯破異生非破聖者，他不能引，得證淨故。有說：得忍亦不可破，由決定忍佛所說故。」

[On] the treatise's [statement], "It only causes a schism among ordinary worldlings (pṛthagjana) ... the word 'fool' is spoken": This clarifies the saṅgha that is broken. The Nyāyānusāra says: "It only causes a schism among ordinary worldlings, not among noble ones (ārya), because they cannot be led astray by another, having attained verified faith (avetyaprasāda). Some say: those who have attained patience (kṣānti) also cannot be schismed, because they have firmly resolved upon what the Buddha taught."
