18.3

論「於前所辨」，已下第二別明業障。就中有六：一出業體、二別明僧破、三明成逆緣、四明加行定、五明重罪中大過、六明無間類。此一行頌第一明業障體。

On the Śāstra's statement, 'Regarding what was analyzed earlier...': The following second major section specifically clarifies karmic obstacles. Within it, there are six parts: 1. identifying the essential nature of the karma; 2. specifically clarifying the schism of the Saṃgha; 3. clarifying the conditions for constituting an act of immediate retribution; 4. clarifying the determinacy of preliminary application; 5. clarifying the greatest faults among grave crimes; 6. clarifying the categories of acts of immediate retribution. This single stanza is the first, clarifying the essential nature of karmic obstacles.
