19.180

論「以諸地道互相因故」，答也。道互為因果，邪見謗果亦謗其因，謗因亦謗其果。滅非展轉為因，亦非為依生起，唯謗自地，不及上下。

On the Śāstra's: "Because the paths of the various stages mutually act as causes for one another," this is the reply. Paths mutually act as cause and fruit; when false view denies the fruit, it also denies its cause, and when it denies the cause, it also denies its fruit. Cessations do not mutually act as causes for one another, nor do they serve as the support for origination; they deny only their own stage, reaching neither above nor below.
