論「非此皆能至非彼對治故」，答也。有二道理：一以四諦中初二諦非彼對治故；二以見、修道中見道初不治故。此文第一初也。

The Śāstra states: "Not all of these can... because they are not their antidotes." This is the reply. There are two rationales: first, because the first two of the four truths are not their antidotes; second, because between the paths of vision and cultivation, the initial [stages] of the path of vision do not remedy them. This text is the first [part] of the first [rationale].
