論「毘婆沙中至名能作晝」，此是曇摩多羅部引有部《婆沙》通難。識現前時名識色，識外不別有能識。如日現前名作晝，日外無別晝。

On the Śāstra's statement: "In the Vibhāṣā [...] it is called capable of making day": here the school of Dharmatrāta cites the Vaibhāṣika Vibhāṣā to resolve the objection. When consciousness is present, it is called cognising visible form; apart from consciousness, there is no separate entity capable of cognising. Just as when the sun is present, it is called making day, yet apart from the sun there is no separate day.
