「論曰彼謂前說眼等名依」，釋頌彼字。此即彼言，彼前頌釋眼等得名也。
"The Śāstra says: 'That' refers to the faculties, visual and the rest, previously stated to be the bases": This explains the word "that" (tad) in the stanza. This means that the word "that" refers to the explanation in the preceding stanza regarding the derivation of the names of the eye and the other [faculties].
