2.55

論「由此故言至謂即是伺」，結也。已上句數。有尋有伺地法有四品。四品者。除尋、伺，餘相應法名有尋有伺。尋名無尋唯伺，伺是唯尋無伺、無尋無伺。餘十色界，及不相應法、無表色、三無為，皆是無尋無伺。

On the Śāstra's: "Hence it is said... that is, vicāra": this is the conclusion. The above are the numbers of the alternatives. Dharmas of the level with vitarka and with vicāra have four categories. As for the four categories: the other associated dharmas, excluding vitarka and vicāra, are called having vitarka and having vicāra. Vitarka is called without vitarka and only with vicāra. Vicāra is only with vitarka and without vicāra, or without vitarka and without vicāra. The remaining ten form dhātus, as well as the unassociated dharmas, avijñapti-rūpa, and the three unconditioned phenomena, are all without vitarka and without vicāra.
