論「有異門故至世所攝故」，此明世是總名，生法有別。名生為世，標總名也。

The Śāstra says: "Because of different approaches […] because it is subsumed under the time periods." This clarifies that "time period" is an overarching name, whereas the phenomena that arise are distinct. Designating arising as a "time period" is to mark it with the overarching name.
