Regarding the treatise's statement from "However, a sūtra states" to "should be understood to be likewise": This recounts the Sautrāntika tenet. "What is the yoke of desire?": this is the question in the sūtra. "Namely, among sensual desires": this means that among the numerous desires, or among the objective fields of the five desires, sensual craving and so forth entangle and oppress the mind. The above explains that the numerous names for sensual desire entangle the mind. Clarifying the faults of sensual desire is called the yoke of desire; the sūtra calls desire a yoke. The multiple names spoken in the sūtra demonstrate its many faults. The yoke of existence and the yoke of views should be understood to be likewise, also having sensual desire as their intrinsic nature. Therefore the Nyāyānusāra states: "Here, the names of the three yokes are spoken with respect to the entity of craving. However, in speaking of only three, the yoke of ignorance and so forth seem to be spoken of as having ignorance as their intrinsic nature."
