論「理必應爾至本無等言」，經部引《勝義空經》所說也。若去、來眼根有實性者，經不應言「本無今有，有已還無。」
The Śāstra says: "In principle it must indeed be so... words such as 'previously non-existent'": the Sautrāntikas cite what is stated in the *Paramārthaśūnyatā-sūtra*. If the past and future visual faculty had substantial nature, the sūtra would not say: 'Having previously been non-existent, it now exists; having existed, it returns to non-existence.'
