20.97

論「意說他人至方觀為有」，此正通經也。意說：他人懷增上慢，亦於非有妄取現有之相謂為有也。此是世間所無。而言知見我於有方觀為有，唯於有知見，不觀無為有，故言世間所無，我知、我見無是處也。

The Śāstra says: "The intent is to speak of others... only then contemplates it as existent": this directly resolves the sūtra. The intent is to say: Others, possessing excessive pride, also falsely grasp the aspect of present existence with respect to what does not exist, declaring it to be existent. This is what does not exist in the world. Yet when speaking of knowledge and vision, I only contemplate what exists as existent; I have knowledge and vision only with respect to what exists, and do not contemplate non-existence as existent. Therefore it says: 'That which does not exist in the world, that I know it and see it—there is no such case.'
