21.22

論「諸得預流至斷三結耶」，問也。預流果斷身見、邊見、戒取、見取、疑、邪見六種煩惱，何故經說斷三結故得預流果？

On the Śāstra's words, "Do all those who attain stream-entry... abandon three fetters?": this is a question. The fruit of stream-entry abandons six kinds of afflictions—view of self-existence, extreme view, attachment to rules and rituals, attachment to views, doubt, and wrong view. Why do the sūtras say that because of abandoning three fetters one attains the fruit of stream-entry?
