21.85

論「依如是理至怖畏掉悔」，述異師說障也。此問答蓋前後，如文可解。然此論意，取惛沈障定、掉舉障慧，《正理》不許，恐煩不錄。

The treatise recounts another master's explanation of the obstructions: "Relying on such a principle […] fear, restlessness, and regret." This question and answer regarding the sequence of the hindrances can be understood according to the text. However, this treatise's view takes lethargy as an obstruction to concentration (samādhi) and restlessness as an obstruction to wisdom (prajñā); the Nyāyānusāra does not accept this, and out of concern for verbosity it is not recorded.
