論「由信隨行至隨行義故」，釋隨信行名。先以信地為首，行隨信起，名隨信行。此釋行名。「彼有隨信行，名隨信行者」，釋人也。或由串習，此隨信行以成其性，故名隨信行者。第二釋人。「彼先信他隨行義故」者，總釋隨信行名。由先所作但隨他語，不自披教。

On the passage of the treatise from "By pursuing practice guided by faith" to "the meaning of pursuing practice": This explains the name 'follower by faith' (*śraddhānusārin*). Taking the ground of faith as foremost, practice arises in pursuit of faith; hence it is called 'pursuing practice through faith'. This explains the name of the practice. "One who possesses that practice following faith is called a follower by faith": this explains the person. Alternatively, through habitual cultivation, this practice following faith forms their nature, and therefore they are called a follower by faith. This is the second explanation of the person. "Because they previously had faith in others and pursued practice": this comprehensively explains the name 'follower by faith'. It is because their previous actions merely followed the words of others, without opening and studying the scriptures themselves.
