23.18

論「然有經言至愛心法滅」，通伏難也。伏難意云：若四念住以慧為性，何故言由食、觸、名色、作意故集？滅亦如是。

[On the *Śāstra*’s:] “However, there is a sūtra that says … the cessation of dharmas from craving,” this resolves an implicit objection. The implicit objection means: If the four applications of mindfulness have wisdom as their nature, why does [the sūtra] say they arise due to nutriment, contact, name-and-form, and attention? Cessation is likewise.
