23.29

論「修此觀已生何善根」，已下第四明煖等四善根，即七方便中後四方便。就中，一明善根體等、二明善根差別、三明勝利、四明轉趣、五明修果久近。此三行頌明體等也。

[On] the treatise's: "Having cultivated this contemplation, what roots of good arise?", the fourth [section] below explains the four roots of good—Heat and so on—which are the last four expedients among the seven expedients. Therein: first, explaining the essence and so on of the roots of good; second, explaining the differences of the roots of good; third, explaining their supreme benefits; fourth, explaining their transitions; fifth, explaining the duration of cultivating their fruits. These three lines of verse explain the essence and so on.
