「論曰至謂欲八定」，明能斷有八，即四靜慮，四無色。所離有九，謂欲界及八定。

On the statement: "The Śāstra says: up to namely the eight concentrations of desire": This clarifies that there are eight capable of severing, namely the four dhyānas and the four formless absorptions. Those abandoned are nine, namely the desire realm and the eight concentrations.
