「論曰至故名沙門」，明沙門也。「諸無漏道是沙門性」者，出沙門體。「懷此道者名曰沙門」者，明人名沙門。「以能勤勞息煩惱故」者，釋沙門名。引經可知。

'The treatise says, up to: hence called a śramaṇa'—this clarifies the śramaṇa. 'All untainted paths are the nature of asceticism' brings out the essence of the ascetic state. 'One who possesses this path is called a śramaṇa' clarifies the person called a śramaṇa. 'Because they are able through diligent effort to pacify defilements' explains the name of śramaṇa. The sūtra cited may be understood.
