論「謂涅槃路至涅槃果故」，有兩釋道義。道是路之名，趣涅槃路名之為乘，是所依運動之義。有所追求必依於道，依此四道求涅槃故。

On the Śāstra's "It means the road to nirvāṇa … because of the fruit of nirvāṇa": there are two explanations of the meaning of path. Path is the name for a road; the road leading to nirvāṇa is called a vehicle, which has the sense of a conveyance relied upon. What one seeks must depend on a path, because one seeks nirvāṇa depending on these four paths.
