25.19

論「此六種姓至具二加行」，釋六種姓差別所以。恒時謂動行，尊重謂勇猛，退種闕二，是鈍根；思種，二根少利；第三唯恒時；第四唯尊重；第五雖具而是鈍根；第六具二而利根。

On the passage of the treatise from “These six lineages ... up to ‘possess both applications’”: this explains the reason for the differences among the six lineages. ‘Constant’ refers to steady practice; ‘reverent’ refers to vigorous exertion. The liable to fall back lineage lacks both and has dull faculties; the reflective lineage has faculties slightly sharper in both; the third is constant only; the fourth is reverent only; the fifth, though possessing both, has dull faculties; the sixth possesses both and has sharp faculties.
