論「學位雜修至未來皆八」，明學位雜修也。無間道無漏、有漏二念心故，行修兼俗。解脫道中唯無漏一念心故，行修唯四、法、類。「加行增俗」者，加行心中多無漏心，相間雜故。「諸勝進道又加他心」者，先得他心，容現起故。未來唯八，是有學故，依根本故。

The passage of the śāstra from “Mixed cultivation in the trainee state” up to “in the future all eight” explains mixed cultivation in the trainee state. In uninterrupted paths, because there are two moments of mind, pure and impure, cultivation through activity includes conventional [knowledge]. In liberation paths, because there is only one moment of pure mind, cultivation through activity comprises only the four, dharma, and subsequent [knowledges]. “The preparatory adds conventional” because within the preparatory mind there are many pure minds intermingled. “All distinguished paths also add [knowledge of] another's mind” because knowledge of another's mind was previously attained and may presently arise. In the future there are only eight, because one is a trainee and because it relies on the root [dhyāna].
