26.58

論「有貪心者至唯貪所繫」，汎明有貪心二也。有貪相應名有貪心，斷與不斷俱名有貪心。餘有漏心為貪所繫名有貪心，若斷貪已不名有貪。此總釋也。

On the Śāstra's statement: "A 'mind with greed' […] is bound solely by greed": this generally clarifies the two senses of a mind with greed. [First,] that which is associated with greed is called a "mind with greed"; whether [greed has been] severed or unsevered, it is in both cases called a mind with greed. [Second,] other tainted minds are called "minds with greed" because they are bound by greed; if greed has already been severed, they are no longer called minds with greed. This is the general explanation.
