27.112

論「除佛所餘至非皆得故」，明諸聖不同非離染得。若離染得者，雜染之時一切同得。既離染得時有異故，以此證知由加行得。

The Śāstra states: "Apart from the Buddha, the remaining up to because not all attain it," clarifying that the noble ones differ, and it is not attained through separation from defilement. If it were attained through separation from defilement, at the time of defilement all would attain it equally. Since the times of attainment through separation from defilement differ, by this it is proven and known to be attained through preparatory application.
