On the Śāstra's statement: "However, the divine eye and ear ... resembling the divine eye and ear": There are three categories. The first two have two interpretations: the eye and ear of a deva is called the divine eye and ear, which is a genitive tatpuruṣa compound (ṣaṣṭhī-tatpuruṣa); if the deva is itself the eye and ear, it is a karmadhāraya compound. The third is a bahuvrīhi compound: in reality they are not the divine eye and ear, but completely take on the name of the divine eye and ear.
