28.223

「論曰至應成善故」，述味定境也。但緣自地有漏，明所緣法已離染故，不緣下因；愛地別故，不緣上因；應成善故，不緣無漏因也。

[On] the śāstra's: "The text says ... because it would turn out to be wholesome": This explains the cognitive objects of the relished concentration (āsvādanāsamāpatti). It only takes the sāsrava of its own stage as an object: because the dharma taken as an object has already been detached from, it does not take a lower cause as an object; because craving is differentiated by stage, it does not take a higher cause as an object; because it would turn out to be wholesome, it does not take an anāsrava cause as an object.
