論「無相無相至非離繫果故」,述第三也。不取滅者,既緣道、滅,若緣滅相濫生滅也。非擇滅是無記,故非妙相。非離繫果,故非離相。
The Śāstra's [words] from "Signlessness-signlessness" up to "because it is not the fruit of disjunction" explain the third. Not grasping cessation (nirodha) is because, since it takes both path and cessation as object, if it were to grasp the characteristic of cessation, it would be confused with origination and cessation. Analytical cessation (apratisaṃkhyā-nirodha) is indeterminate (avyākṛta), and therefore is not the characteristic of excellence. It is not the fruit of disjunction, and therefore is not the characteristic of departure.
