論「如是經文至故釋非理」，論主破。彼部不誦，證非佛言，為極非理。以犢子部不誦經，非唯上爾許，更有多經。彼雖不誦，餘部同誦，何為凶誑總非眾多佛教非真佛說？

The treatise says: "Sūtra passages like these... therefore their explanation is unreasonable." The author of the treatise refutes them: taking the fact that their school does not recite it as proof that it is not the Buddha's word is utterly unreasonable. For the sūtras not recited by the Vātsīputrīyas are not merely this few mentioned above; there are many more sūtras. Although they do not recite them, the other schools recite them together; why would one arrogantly and deceptively reject numerous Buddhist teachings across the board as not being the true words of the Buddha?
