29.37

論「修悲喜法准此應知」者，准慈釋，有七等，先上親也。不說捨修加行，先處中故。

The Śāstra states: "The method of cultivating compassion and sympathetic joy should be understood by analogy with this." Following the explanation of love, there are seven equals, beginning with the superior friend. The preparatory cultivation of equanimity is not mentioned because it begins with the neutral ones.
