「論曰至非無漏故」，明四根通三也。與見、修煩惱相應故見、修斷，通無漏故亦非所斷。憂根不通無漏故，唯見、修所斷。但與見、修惑相應故，不通非斷。

"The commentary says [...] because they are not undefiled." This clarifies that four faculties extend to all three: because they are associated with the defilements [abandoned by] seeing and meditation, they are abandoned by seeing and meditation; because they extend to being undefiled, they are also not to be abandoned. Because the faculty of grief does not extend to being undefiled, it is abandoned only by seeing and meditation. Because it is associated only with the afflictions of seeing and meditation, it does not extend to being non-abandoned.
