3.51

論「還滅所依謂信等五」，《正理》釋云「生死止息是還滅義，即是六處畢竟斷滅。此得所依謂信等五（此得者是擇滅得。或是六處不生，即非擇滅得也）。以是一切善根生長最勝因故。」

The Śāstra states: "The basis of cessation refers to the five beginning with faith." The Nyāyānusāra explains: "The cessation of birth and death is the meaning of cessation, which is the ultimate cessation of the six āyatanas. The basis for the acquisition of this refers to the five beginning with faith (this acquisition is the acquisition of analytical cessation; or it is the non-arising of the six āyatanas, which is the acquisition of non-analytical cessation), because they are the most supreme cause for the growth of all wholesome roots."
