論「意樂喜捨至立具知根」，此釋三無漏根。於中有二：先以九根於其三道立為三根，後釋三根得名所由。此即初也。

Regarding the passage in the treatise, “Mind, pleasure, joy, equanimity … up to … establish the faculty of one who has fully known”: This explains the three undefiled faculties. Within this, there are two parts: first, establishing the nine faculties as three faculties across the three paths; second, explaining the reasons why the three faculties acquire their names. This is the first.
