30.13

論「即於諸蘊至乃至廣說」，論主以義通也。即於諸蘊立數取趣，佛恐執實有別我常住實有，後文自云：但隨世俗說此具壽有如是名。

On the Śāstra's statement: "It is precisely with reference to the aggregates [...] and so on in detail": The author of the Śāstra clarifies the meaning. It is precisely with reference to the aggregates that the 'person undergoing repeated rebirth' is designated. Fearing that people would grasp at a truly existent separate self as permanent and substantially real, the Buddha Himself states in the text below: 'It is merely in accordance with worldly convention that this venerable one is said to have such a name.'
