30.167

論「於有恩中至所取不然」，論主破也。如汝所計，我執緣我，以身於實我有防護恩，假說身為我。而諸執蘊為我，皆謂實我，不謂假故。

On the Śāstra's statement: "Among those that are of service [...] what is grasped is not so": The author of the treatise refutes it. According to what you maintain, the grasping after a self takes the self as object, and because the body has the kindness of protecting the real self, the body is conventionally designated as "self." But all those who grasp the aggregates as a self think of it as the real self, not as conventional.
