論「何緣異熟果至有別果生」，外難也。如外熟果能為後果之因，異熟之果何不為異熟因？
On the Śāstra's statement, "For what reason, when a fruit of vipāka... does another fruit arise?": the outsider objects. Just as an external ripe fruit can serve as a cause for a subsequent fruit, why does a fruit of vipāka not serve as a cause of vipāka?
