論「除眼耳通至及俱起得」，答也。二通、變化二緣故，通前、後得。一以勢力勝故、二以加行所引起故，有三世得。

The Śāstra says: "Except for the supernormal cognitions of eye and ear […] as well as simultaneously arising possession." This is the answer. Due to two conditions—the two supernormal cognitions and manifestations—they extend to prior and subsequent possessions: first, because their force is superior; second, because they are induced by preparatory effort, they have possession across the three time periods.
