4.61

論「如何可立此為覺支」，經部難也。若五識相應有輕安者，如何可說此為覺支？此難絕也。今詳此難非為切當。即心輕安當非皆是覺支，如何五識輕安令是覺支？

The Treatise states: "How could this be posited as a limb of awakening?" This is the Sautrāntika's objection. If pliancy conjoined with the five consciousnesses existed, how could it be said to be a limb of awakening? This objection is absolute. Now, examining this objection, it is not pertinent: pliancy of mind itself would not all be limbs of awakening, so how could pliancy of the five consciousnesses be made a limb of awakening?
