論「且應思擇至有用無用」，經部難也。未來法體未得為有，即生等相體亦非有。如何得說生相有用、三相無用？

On the treatise passage: "One should consider this first: … having functional activity and lacking functional activity": the Sautrāntika objects. Since the essence of a future phenomenon has not yet attained existence, the essences of the characteristics of arising and the rest do not exist either. How can one say that the characteristic of arising has functional activity, while the other three characteristics lack functional activity?
