論「迦濕彌羅國至見所斷為因」，答也。一述《毘婆沙》家、二引《品類足》證。此文初也。見所斷與一切染法為因，故知不簡聖身染污。

The treatise says: "[The masters of] the country of Kaśmīra [...] take what is abandoned by seeing as cause." This is the answer. First, it relates the position of the *Vibhāṣā* masters; second, it cites the *Prakaraṇapāda* as proof. This text is the first. Because what is abandoned by seeing serves as a cause for all defiled phenomena, we know it does not exclude defilements in the noble one's stream of being.
