6.139

論「或有苦諦至諸餘染污苦諦」，第三染污苦諦證也。此中取從身見生，不與身見為因而證也。謂一切染法皆從身見生，一分却與身見為因，一分不與身見為因。聖人身中染法既是諸餘染法之數，故知從身見生。

The treatise says: "Or there are [phenomena belonging to the truth of suffering] [...] all other defiled phenomena belonging to the truth of suffering." This is the third proof, concerning defiled phenomena of the truth of suffering. Here, the proof is derived by taking those that arise from the view of self-existence without serving as causes for the view of self-existence. Namely, all defiled phenomena arise from the view of self-existence; one part in turn serves as cause for the view of self-existence, while another part does not serve as cause for the view of self-existence. Since the defiled phenomena in the stream of being of a noble one belong to the number of all other defiled phenomena, we know that they arise from the view of self-existence.
