論「或此經中至應知亦爾者」，更別釋也。謂斷過、現所薰種故，名斷過、現。「如十八愛行過去世起」者，依過去生說，未來、現在應知亦爾。

[When] the treatise [states]: "Or in this sūtra ... should be understood to be likewise," another distinct explanation is given: "It means that because seeds perfumed by the past and present are severed, it is called the severance of the past and present. Regarding 'just as the eighteen cravings arise in the past period,' this is spoken in dependence upon past lives; the future and present should be understood to be likewise."
